Drummer Stabbed At Venice Drum Circle

Drum circles are supposed to invest a feeling of unity and community among participants, but that hypothesis was shattered in an instant when a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the chest on Easter Sunday at the long-lived Venice Beach drum circle in southern California. The attack took place when a fight broke out at 7:45 p.m. between the victim, who was among the drummers jamming on the beach, and the attacker, who immediately fled the scene and is still on the loose. The unidentified victim is hospitalized in stable condition.
