Bev Bevan Honored By His Hometown

Bev Bevan was tapped as this year’s honoree into the Broad Street Walk Of Stars in his original hometown of Birmingham, England. The celebrated drummer for The Move, Electric Light Orchestra, and Black Sabbath will join such other noted artists as Ozzy Osbourne, Joan Armatrading, and Noddy Holder, who had previously received the honor.
The presentation takes place this Thursday, April 28, at the city’s Gatecrasher Club, followed by performances honoring the drummer, including an appearance by Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi.
“I am very honored and proud to receive this star and to be following in the footsteps of some fantastic talent from Birmingham,” Bevan told blabbermouth.com. “Some of my great mates in [comedian] Jasper Carrott and Tony Iommi are on the Walk Of Stars and it’s great to be joining them.”
